I november 2012 tog Guns n' Roses den "amerikanska öknen" med storm med konserten på Hard Rock Casino-klubben "The Joint" i Las Vegas. Det nästan tre timmar långa setet innehåller alla bandets hits och mycket mer. "Appetite for Democracy" är den första konsertfilmen med bandet sedan "Use your Illusion"-videorna från 1992 och innehåller låtar från såväl Appetite for Destruction, Lies och Use your Illusion-skivorna som senaste plattan Chinese Democracy, samt välkända covers som Paul McCartneys "Live and let die", Bob Dylans "Knockin' on heaven's door", The Who-klassikern "The Seeker", Pink Floyds "Another brick in the wall pt. 2" samt liveversioner av Bumblefoots "Objectify" med gitarristen Ron "Bu,blefott" Thal som leadsångare och Tommy Stinson "Motivation" där Stinson tar över mikrofonen.
