The EP Paint The Sky With Blood. The EP was already recorded in Finland at the end of 2020 and was supposed to be the beginning of a journey that ended much too soon. This three-track masterpiece is an impressive, overwhelming tribute to an absolute legend of the metal scene, an incomparable singer/guitarist, and simultaneously symbolizes a modern homage to the genre itself. A storm of furious guitars and stormy drums rises, merging with the versatile vocal power of Alexi Laiho and culminating in a massive sound universe titled 'Paint The Sky With Blood,' which opens the 14-minute EP of the same name. The track truly brings to mind some well-known early CHILDREN OF BODOM classics, while also reflecting exciting new and modern influences.

The second powerhouse, 'Payback's a Bitch,' seeks lyrical revenge with massive riffing and delivers a hardcore offensive like no other. The collaboration between Alexi Laiho, guitarist Daniel Freyberg, Waltteri Väyrynen (known as the drummer of Paradise Lost), Mitja Toivonen (former Santa Cruz bassist), and live keyboardist Vili Itäpelto not only proves the band's exceptional musical talent but also showcases their genre-technical adaptability. The final cover song, 'Where Dead Angels Lie,' originally by the Swedish extreme metal formation DISSECTION, gives an absolute classic a new twist. Eerie riffs and vocals that alternate between threatening murmurs and characteristic guttural, distorted depths give this version an undeniable BODOM AFTER MIDNIGHT touch.
