‘Warrior’ from Newcastle upon Tyne attracted attention for the first time in May 1981 when their song ‘Flying High’ was selected for tape compilation ‘Lead Weight’, which was set up by Neat Records. The debut single was released a little later and was called ‘Dead When It Comes To Love’, which was recorded live in the studio. The following 12" EP ‘For Europe Only’ (1983), with ‘Satan’ drummer Sean Taylor in the line-up, and the single ‘Breakout’ (1984), which is hardly available today, were released on their own. The announced LP with the working title ‘Invasion Imminent’ was never released, as the band split up in late 1984. ‘Resurrection’, which is the now available retrospective of the NWOBHM heroes summarizes the material of ‘For Europe Only’ and ‘Breakout’ and adds four exclusive, previously unreleased bonus songs of said ‘For Europe Only’ session.
