VILLAGERS OF IOANNINA CITY take a nostalgic look at the grand stage of Athens and deliver an explosive stage show with their unique blend of psychedelic hard rock and classical folk instruments. Inspired by Greek nature and its cosmic phenomena, the band has released two compelling studio albums and an EP since its formation in 2007. Since their first album, Riza (2014), VILLAGERS OF IOANNINA CITY have performed at the biggest rock festivals and sold out venues at the biggest shows in the Greek music scene. After many great performances, the band is now taking the next step and presenting their first live album! Based on their live experience and their short but impressive discography, the album Through Space and Time (Alive in Athens 2020) will be released on March 3, 2023.

The show builds on the songs from their latest album, Age of Aquarius (2019), and is mixed with songs from their debut album and previous EP. Starting with 'Welcome,' 'Age of Aquarius,' and 'Part V,' VILLAGERS OF IOANNIA CITY demonstrate their ability to tell stories through their music, perfectly integrating song after song into the context of their album and live shows. Tracks like 'Nova,' 'Perdikomata,' and 'Skaros' take listeners on a journey through the sonic worlds of their debut album Riza (2014), emphasizing the fantastic use of clarinets, bagpipes, and guitars. The use of the clarinet culminates in a powerful solo in the second half of the show during the song 'Zvara' from 2014. The band closes the two-hour show with more songs from Age of Aquarius and gives it a proper ending with a bang and the 2014 single 'Karakolia.' Through Space and Time (Alive in Athens 2020) showcases the incredible attention to detail of the band, demonstrated through fantastic production and their unmatched live presence.
